“Success is not Final. Failure is not Fatal: It’s the courage to continue that counts.” ~Winston Churchill
Sometimes your best isn’t enough, you reach the end of your rope and there’s no knot. The power of positive thinking is strong, but it’s not a given that if you change your terminology from words like “problems” to “challenges” or “half-empty” to “half-full” life will get better. Life is hard and for those that think it’s not, ask the homeless guy sleeping the bathroom of the subway with his 7 year-old little boy, trying to get by another day or even the next hour.
It’s about the journey, not the destination – but sometimes you must cross over Mount Everest and the mighty Himalayan range to get there, and sometimes, reality strikes and people die trying to reach the summit. A very wise man told me once, “Beat up is not, crushed.” I replied, “maybe crushed, but not dead, people have climbed Everest before.”
