Margaret J. “Meg” Zapata, 55, of Lancaster passed away peacefully Saturday, December 2, 2023 from natural causes surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, PA she was the daughter of Carol (Sutcliffe) Jenkins and the late Dr. Thomas Jenkins. She was the loving wife of William D. “Zap” Zapata with whom she just celebrated 25 years of marriage on November 27th.

She was a 1986 graduate of Hempfield High School. Meg enjoyed crafts, reading, bible study, tutoring and providing writing support for others, redesigning, organizing, beach trips, but most of all her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Meg was a woman of strong faith, nourishing that faith as a member of St Edward’s Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Hatter, Lucy, and Shelby.

Meg was loved and had many cherished friends, along with a positive attitude of life.
