Marilyn Faye Creasy, 78

December 18, 2020

Marilyn Faye Creasy, 78, of Lancaster, was sadly taken from her family to be an angel with God on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:47am. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Ruth Pietsch. She was the devoted and loving wife of Curtis W. Creasy, Sr. for over 49 years.

Marilyn was an amazing person to all who knew her and knew how to put a smile on anyone’s face. She had a heart of gold and would always put her family first. She will be fondly remembered as someone who would put others needs before her own. These selfless acts are what made her who we call wife, mom, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend.

Marilyn was a woman known to sit back and relax. Whether it was watching the news or spending time with her family. She also enjoyed bird watching, especially in the springtime where she could see the hummingbirds. She was a nature lover especially when it came to frogs and she enjoyed collecting frog figurines. Cooking and baking was something that came natural to Marilyn. She was well known for her famous fried chicken and Hershey’s Chocolate Cake.

Her love will live on in her husband Curtis, children: Curtis W. Creasy, Jr (Tina), Richard T. Creasy (Amanda) and Jennifer L. Cruz, sisters: Ruth A. Keating (Alan) and Ruth A. Kells, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Condolences to the Family

November 09, 2021

Rhonda and I would like to send our deepest condolences to Curt and his entire family.  We are so sorry to have just found out of Marilyn’s passing after my conversation with Curt on Monday.  Our entire family, which includes Sharon, Butch, Vickie, Brian, Daryl and Jodi, were deeply saddened to hear this news as Curt and Marilyn were someone we always looked up to for their love, integrity and caring for others! We all have fond memories of Marilyn’s beautiful smile and her fun-loving nature.  We know heaven has a new beautiful angel and someday we will all be together again! Love, Brad and Rhonda Thomas

I write this on behalf of my mother Lynn (Bachman) Chandler. She has been receiving outpatient Hospice for the past year and recently went to an inpatient site. She and my mom were friends for many years and though life sometimes got in the way of frequent communication, their friendship ran deep. I know that my mom would want to send her sincere condolences to Curtis and the rest of the family, and send a long-distance hug to Marilyn. I take comfort in knowing that they last spoke in November and were able to tell each other that they loved one another. I and my family wish the entire Creasy family strength and comfort.
