Mrs. Curtis was my 5th grade teacher at Hambright in the mid-sixties. I have very fond memories of those days and she was an excellent teacher who challenged us to do our best. My condolences to her family and freinds. Thank you Mrs. Curtis!

My condolences go out to the entire family. I hope you can find comfort in family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mrs. Curtis was my 5th grade teacher at Hambright school.  I don’t think I appreciated her until years afterwards.  She wanted the work done right and she wanted it neat, too.  She really taught me a lot.

All right, I have to tell this story.  The Gideon Bible people came to our school one day and we all went up to the cafeteria to hear their spiel.  They were handing out bibles, but the man said that if we took one, we had to promise to read it every day.  I got to thinking about that and figured that I might look at it some, but I probably wouldn’t read it every day, so I didn’t take one.  Well then, we filed back into our classroom under the watchful eye of Mrs. Curtis.  That’s when I thought I might be in a bit of trouble, as I was the only one not carrying a bible.  Mrs. Curtis took notice, I saw, and prepared for the worst of it.  But no, she said "Well, good for you Phil!"  From then on, I was pretty sure she liked me.  I never forgot her and I don’t think she forgot me, either.  I wish I had visited her in her later years.

Connie, Marty and Family,

Sorry to hear of the loss. Glad she didn’t suffer. She is now reunited with Grace and Maybelle.

Just the other day I put 3 quilts out on my beds. These were quilts Aunt Polly had made for me many, many years ago and I hadn’t been using them until I was sure they wouldn’t be wrecked by kids or dogs. I have and will continue to think of her and cherish them for many more years to come.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love Wendy, Bruce, Greg & Becky.
