Ramon Del Villar, 72

Ramon Del Villar, 72, of Lancaster, was welcomed into the gates of heaven, September 20, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in the Dominican Republic on November 17, 1950, he was the son of Ramon and Felicia Del Villar. He cherished over 50 years of devoted marriage, memories, and love with Augustina (Suero) Del Villar.

Ramon was a spiritual man and had a deep faith in God. A longtime member of the Church of God in Action in Lancaster, he made it a priority to read his Bible regularly. He was a jack of all trades, from mechanics, carpentry, welding to electrical, there was nothing he couldn’t do. In his free time, he enjoyed watching movies, cooking, and reading.

He will be sorely missed by his wife Augustina; children, Ramon Augustine Del Villar, husband of Claudia Ortiz Del Villar, Felicia Mercedes Del Villar, Carmen Alicia Del Villar, and Mirtha Maria Del Villar, wife of Francis Duarte, all of Lancaster; a granddaughter, Victoria Augustina Taveras Del Villar, and brothers, Jorge Cesar Del Villar, and Emilio Del Villar. He was preceded in passing by his parents.

The family will receive guests for a viewing on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602, from 6 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service honoring Ramon will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the funeral home beginning at 11 AM, with a viewing from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment to follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
