I met Bob 27 years ago when he joined my Manheim Township Youth Aid Panel #3. He had been a founding member from the first class of Youth Aid Panelists trained two years earlier.
Because Bob lived nearby, we drove together to and from monthly YAP meetings for many years. He was a dedicated panelist and rarely missed a meeting. He was an active participant in discussions with the youths and their families, and his focus was on education and how it would prepare young people in attaining their life goals. His support of young people extended to all areas of his life including the 10 years that he and his wife Yvonne were foster parents to seven children.
It was an honor and pleasure to know Bob. May he rest in peace.  David Sperry
