Deb and Don, When Don called last evening to let us know about Ken’s passing, I admit I was not fully awake so not clearly thinking. Seems the older I get, the earlier I go to bed. I didn’t realize the services were still to be held when I spoke with Don. I am so sorry I cannot be there with you. Tomorrow (Friday) I board a plane to Florida for a week long business meeting.  Please know Phyllis and I will be with you in our hearts just as Uncle Ken has been in my heart all these years. As young people grow up, they look to the adults that surround them for role models; for examples of how to live. How lucky I was to have Uncle Ken be one of those role models for me – not just as a child but well into my adult years. I hope I am as kind, thoughtful, and understanding of those I come in contact with as Uncle Ken was with me. He will be missed by far more people than even than any of us will probably know.
Phyllis and Ron Drum

My condolencenses to the family on your loss.  My prayers are with you during this trying time.

Barbara Ciardullo (colleague of Don Dorwart at Armstrong)

Aunt Doris and family,

So sorry to hear that God sent his angels to take Uncle Ken home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. May you find comfort in knowing that God has something special for him to do and that you will see him again someday.
Love,
Denny and JoAnn

Don and Terry,
Marjanne and I both send our deepest sympathies and condolences on the passing of your Dad and Father-in-Law. I see that your Dad served in WWII and was also a long time Armstrong employee, which I did not know. Don, your Dad seemed like a fine man and as they say the acorn does not fall far from the tree, I can see your dad in you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both as well as your kids and grand kids. Take solace in the fact that his memories will live forever.
Take care and give a big hug to your Mom

My deepest sympathy for your loss. The time among us is never long enough. You are in my thoughts at this difficult time.

Kristin Izzo (Armstrong)

Dear Doris and family,

Our heartfelt sympathy to you all at this difficult time. Through the years, it was always such an inspiration watching the joy Doris and Ken brought into each others’ lives. Always another cruise, another party, or another family celebration. Our students at Hershey High School always enjoyed Ken’s smile and sharing as he and Doris told each visit of their latest literary projects and related adventures. May the Lord comfort and bless you all until you once again greet Ken in his heavenly home.

Much Love,
Mary Ann & George Achorn

Don and Terry,

LuAnn and I both send our deepest sympathies and condolences on the passing of your Dad and Father-in-Law.  Our thoughts are with you both.  I knew your dad a bit from my old engineering days and he seemed like a gentleman.  Take solace in the fact that his memories will live on with you and that others are thinking of you in this difficult time.  Sorry for your loss.

Joe and LuAnn Jindela
