John F. Hammonds Jr., 77, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Bantry, ND, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Willow City, ND, he was the husband of the late Doreen (Knoke) Hammonds and the son of the late John F. Hammonds, Sr. and Edith Pearl (Myers) Hammonds.
He was a member of the Minot Eagles and was an avid Packers fan. He loved coaching sports teams and also enjoyed snowmobiling and pool.
He was the owner and manager of Frank’s Place in Bantry, ND.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Pam Greinski of Neche, ND; a sister, Marie Lyons of Lancaster; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Friday, July 19, 2013 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with Pastor Dana Statler officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7 prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

I am sorry to hear about John. I have often wondered where my old neighbor went when he left the Bottineau area. I spent many hours at their home, and even helped out at Franks Place a few times. Condolences Pam. Sincerely, Arlyss Tagestad
