Pam Handlan, 70
June 25, 2016
Pam Handlan died on June 25, 2016 at the age of 70.
Pam was born in Farnworth, Lancashire, England to Byron and Marjory Kuhn. She also lived throughout the United States as she ventured with her family in support of the lifestyle necessitated by her father’s career as a United States Air Force Officer. Pam attended college at West Virginia University and ultimately graduated from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Selinsgrove and the beautiful Susquehanna river valley of central Pennsylvania is where she grew her own family until both her children were in college and the pull of sun, sand and warmth drew Pam to relocate to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
For the last 25yrs, you could find Pam choreographing the myriad of details required to support rental home owners and vacationers delivering dreams for each vacation completed on the Outer Banks. Pam truly loved the interaction with home owners, vacationers and her co-workers.
Pam did not desire a funeral service and instead would ask that if you do decide to celebrate life and good memories, think about doing it in the following manner:
• Find a local spot that you have skipped for many years as life’s routines easily cloud the beauty that may be close by, raise your glass and celebrate local gems
• In lieu of flowers or other gifts, if desired, please donate to the following charities:
o Nature Conservancy of the Outer Banks, North Carolina
o America Cancer Society
Pam is survived by her daughter, Lyndy Darwicki (and her husband John Darwicki), son, Jim Handlan (and wife, Jen Handlan) and sister Jeanette Coates.

Pam was a lovely person. We met her thru CCV but became friends more than business acquaintances. She was devoted to all of her homeowners and treated each home as it was her own. We will miss seeing her on any given street in Corolla. She was always a breath of fresh air. Prayers from Rob and Joyce Breiner

What a lovely obituary for a lovely person! We are home owners in Corolla and have been since Corolla Classic Vacations opened. We have had many proffessional dealings with your gracious mom/sister over many years. She was always delightful, charming, and fun to work with…just a joy-filled person! You will continue to be in our prayers
