Helen G. Heiserman, 88

August 01, 2013

Helen G. Heiserman, 88, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on August 1, 2013.
She was the wife of the late Harvey L. Heiserman, who passed away in 2010. Born in Warren, PA, she was the daughter of Caspar and Anna Fisher Fuhrer.
She had been a homemaker and had also worked for the RCA Corp.
Helen was a talented quilter and crafter but her enthusiasm for learning led her to become a fiber artist with the Woolwrights Rug Hooking Group. Betty Krull, a well known rug hooker, guided Helen and friends to completing rugs which were pictured in ATHA Magazine. Even at 88, Helen was always ready for the next adventure, whether it was Florida or New York.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Keith) Shaffer of Lebanon, her son, Don (Charlene) of Lititz; her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, H. Robert Heiserman who passed away in January.
Friends will be received on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Helen’s memory to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
