Lynne M. Hendrix, 72

Lynne M. Hendrix, 72, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 after an extended illness at Moravian Manor. She was the daughter of C.H. “Mickey” McWilliams and Helen (Noble) McWilliams of Pitman, N.J. Lynne was married 48 years to Marvin Hendrix, of Lititz, PA.

Lynne began her teaching career at Northern Lebanon High School in Fredericksburg, PA then taught at McCurdy Mission School in Santa Cruz, NM until she and Marvin started a family. Lynne started a Bible quiz team in Belle Mead, NJ and later coached in two other Evangelical Free Churches while serving as district quizzing coordinator for several years. While living in Virginia she completed training as a Precepts in-depth Bible study teacher and led several women’s Bible study groups.

She was a member of Lancaster Evangelical Free Church in Lititz.

In addition to Marvin, she is survived by two daughters:  Liana, wife of Christopher Riviere of Phoenix, AZ and their two sons, Sterling and Austin; and Holly, wife of William Waddell of Waldorf, MD and their children Jacob and Kayleigh.

A Memorial Celebration of Lynne’s life and her testimony will be held on Saturday, October 13, at 10AM at Lancaster Evangelical Free Church (LEFC) 419 Pierson Road Lititz, PA 17543 with The Rev. Tony Hunt officiating. Viewings will be held Friday evening at the LEFC from 6-9PM and again on Saturday from 9-10AM. Interment will be in Witness Park Cemetery, Lititz, PA. I have know Lynne all my life since our days at Thom Thumb Nursery School. She has been a great friend and classmate and will be missed.
