Margaret Kolb Henry, 97

Margaret Kolb Henry, 97, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on April 6, 2015 at the Mennonite Home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Rietschy) Kolb. Margaret was the wife of the late Paul O. Henry, Jr. who died on April 30, 1988.
Margaret was a 1936 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, the Iris Club and the Towne Club. Margaret loved spending a lot of time with her family including hosting annual Christmas celebrations for more than 30 years for her ever- expanding family. She also enjoyed knitting and was a lifelong Pinochle player.
Surviving are four children: Margaret “Peggy” H. Spila, wife of Joseph, of Mechanicsburg, PA, Paula M. Henry Kipphorn of Lititz, PA, G. Kevin Henry, husband of Janice, of Lancaster, PA and Robert D. Henry, husband of Patricia of Pequea, PA; daughter-in-law, Merly K. Henry; 15 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by a son, Paul O. Henry, III; and three siblings: Romayne Kolb Heilbron, George M. Kolb, Jr. and Gerald H. Kolb.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 East Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601, with Rev. David Danneker, Ph.D. as Celebrant. A viewing will take place from 9:30-10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.
