Henry E. Hess, 71

Henry E. Hess, 71, of Lancaster, died at LGH on March 26, 2016. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Henry Hess and Mary F. (Fulmer).

He is survived by a companion of 35 years, Carol J. Rehm.

Henry was a painter for GSM Industrial.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge #299, American Legion Post #34, AMVETS #219, VFW #1690, and The Active Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, wrestling, seeing live music, and watching country westerns.

Survived by seven sons; Henry H., Dennis J., Michael J., Trevor J., Wayne, Todd W., all of Lancaster, Scott D. Rehm, of MD, a daughter, Kathi A. Hess, of Lancaster, 25 grandchildren, three sisters, Ruth Ann Smith, Mary Hess, Judy, wife of Joseph Secora, all of Lancaster, a brother, Ken Hess, husband of Tina, of Denver. Preceded in death by two brothers, John and David Hess, and a sister, Linda Drennen.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 2-4PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602. The Funeral Service will be held at 4PM with The Rev. Mark J. Thiboldeaux officiating. A private cremation will be held following the funeral at the Snyder Crematory Chapel.
