I was so surprized to hear of Darryls passing. I only recently found out. I hope he didnt suffer long. Way back when, I had some very nice memories with Darryl. You were a very good son to him, and he always idolized you. I’m glad that he is finally at peace. I’m glad the last time I saw him we parted as friends. My sympathy to you and your family.

Aunt Carol Ann, Vickie, Eric and family,
I’m sorry to hear of Darryl’s passing. You are in my prayers.
Please let me know how I can reconnect with Vickie. I’d love to spend some time with her. I promised Pop-Pop (Cornie) I would always stay in touch with her, but I believe there was a move and maybe Vickie lost my number, because I haven’t heard from her since the last time I had her for a visit a couple of years ago. I miss her.
Blessings to all of you,
Lori Zimmerman (Cornie & Margaret’s oldest granddaughter)

To Darryls family I was sad to hear of your loss. Darryl and I were Marines and served together. He was a friend and a Brother. The last time we saw each other was 1989 at Buchanan Elementary School where I had just started working. I saw the name Hiepler on a students desk and wondered if he knew Darryl. That night while working in a basement classroom he walked in with his son. That was weird because all the school doors were locked. We looked at each other and immediately knew each other which we hadn’t seen since 1970 in the Marines. I never saw him again but was glad that moment had happen in our lived. May God Bless you all and protect you. Till we meet again in Heaven my Brother. Semper fi Jon Bruce
