Gary L. Himelwright, Jr., 51, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Rebecca Blevins Himelwright, of Lancaster, and the late Gary L. Himelwright Sr., who passed away in 2013.

Gary had worked as a cook at the Riverside Club, was a NASCAR and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and enjoyed fishing with his father. He was a member of Ephrata Area Church of Christ.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Keith A. Himelwright.

Friends will be received from 6-7PM on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with the Memorial Service to follow at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in his memory to the Ministry Fund at Ephrata Area Church of Christ, 103 Brusen Dr., Lititz, PA 17543.

We’ve only known Gary for a short time, but we found him to be a great guy and we were terribly shocked and saddened by his unexpected death. We miss seeing him outside each day. We pray for God’s comfort and peace for you at this sad time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
