Louis R. “Dick” Hinkel

October 05, 2013

Louis R. “Dick” Hinkel, of Mount Joy, died Saturday, October 5, 2013, at the Lebanon VA Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn NY, joined the Navy at the young age of 17 during World War II and was married shortly after, in 1950, to the love of his life, Dottie Hinkel.

The world should know that L.R. Hinkel was a Saint sent from Heaven. He was the perfect picture of humility, warmth, love and sincerity. Never one to ask or want for anything, he cared only about those around him. Always content with whatever life tossed his way, never complaining in all his 87 years. May he always be remembered in our hearts as a loving, selfless individual.

“You and me, together forever kid”.

Condolences to the Family

October 09, 2013

My sincerest condolences go out to the family of this wonderful man. I got the pleasure to know Mr. Hinkel as one of my pharmacy customers at CVS. He was a customer that I always looked forward to seeing. He was always so friendly and kind. I feel honored to have been able to know him.
God bless you all, I know we have another angel looking down on us from heaven.
