I am so sorry for your loss.  Mr. Hinnenkamp was my first baseball coach when I played for the Manor Ridge Phillies.  After the first base position did not work out, he allowed me to pitch and that is where I found my niche.  He was a great coach and a great example for me.  I’ve often thought of him over the years and know that he will be missed by all.  Please take care.

Without any doubt the Lancaster community is a much better place because of Frank’s positive impact on many lives including my family’s.
I regret that I am not able to celebrate his “homegoing” with you all this week. We are in Missouri till Saturday with our daughter Jayne and our 3 grandchildren.

Dear Mary Ann & Family,  Please accept our deepest sympathy.  Our memories go back many years to the  time when Frank started  St. Leo’s baseball team.  Our son, Bob,  played for Manor Ridge & of course, played against St. Leo’s—what fun times.  Then we knew you & your family at LCHS.  We  both had children there at the same time.  He will be sorely missed but the four  of us have had wonderful long & fullfilled lives.  We’ll keep you & your family in our prayers.  May God be with you.

We are so sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. Remembering your first neighborhood Christmas party and all the parties that followed have such wonderful memories!! The picture that comes to mind, are of you and Frank at a St Patty party dancing together, big smile on his face & you could just feel the love between you two!!

Mary Ann and family,
Deb and I were deeply saddened to learn of Frank’s passing. We are currently visiting Melissa and her family in Germany and therefore won’t be home for the funeral. I have special memories of my trips to Villanova for basketball games with Frank and also of our time together on St Leo’s School board. I can’t think of a single parishioner who had amore positive impact on the St Leo community than Frank! He will be greatly missed.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Frank’s passing.  Growing up with the Hinnenkamp family, my Godfather Frank was very much a second father to me.  Sharing wonderful times on St. Leo’s baseball fields, family camping vacations, and times in the old neighborhood, Mr. Hinnenkamp was a tremendous mentor and man of faith to look up to.  I deeply respected and admired how Frank and Mary Ann always opened their home and hearts to those most in need.  I often think back and reflect on the wonderful times “growing up” in the Hinnenkamp home!  We will all pray for Frank.

Frank and Mary Ann or “Boy” and “Girl” as I affectionately refer to them, showed me what great American values are when I came for the first time to this country from war-torn Yugoslavia. They not only opened their home but also their hearts to me and accepted me as a part of their fascinating family. My American music career started at their home where I created my version of “America the Beautiful” which I performed for the first time at St Leo Church, followed by Carnegie Hall, then for the First Lady in Washington DC and all the way to West Point for my PBS TV concert. Frank had endless child-like curiosity, energy, vision and willingness to help all in need. His infectious love for others was an inspiration to me and to all who had the privilege of knowing him. I will forever cherish the days that I spent with my dearest “Boy”. My deepest sympathies go out to the wonderful Mary Ann and the great Hinnenkamp family. May God give you comfort and peace in knowing that Frank’s spirit will forever live on in all of his children, grandchildren and in the many others that he touched.

Frank and Mary Ann welcomed us into their hearts and home beginning with the St Leo’s newcomer’s dinner. Our lifelong friendship continued with countless cherished memories. They will always be thought of as part of our “Lancaster family”. We are so grateful to have had Frank in our lives. Much love to all the Hinnenkamps, especially Mary Ann.

Mine is just one of many lives that Mr. Hinnenkamp influenced. I attended St. Leo’s between 1975-1983 and played baseball for the school’s team every year I was eligible to. Coach Hinnenkamp, as well as Coach Seibert, mentored us and made baseball season – from first practice every year through the playoffs – a magical time for myself and my teammates. I will cherish those memories and know they helped shape my life forever. I thank him for this as well as all of his contributions to the Lancaster area and I offer my sincerest condolences to his son Dave, who I played many years alongside, and his family. Please know that myself and many, many others in this world are thinking fondly of Frank right now. We are sorry to hear of your loss.  Mom met MR and MRS Hinnenkamp while they were living at Evergreen Reitrement home.  Mom was a table mate and friend of them both.  She enjoyed sharing life stories…plus his common love of the Detroit Tigers. I met Mr and Mrs Hinnenkamp during my visits with Mom at Evergreen….Both being extremely nice to my Mom. I will remember their kindness and care during their stay and after moving to Homestead. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
