R. Everett Hohman, 90
R. Everett Hohman, 90, of Lancaster, passed away January 24, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care. He was the son of the late Roy and Edna (Bowers) Hohman.
He is survived by his second wife, Faye (Ferguson) (Wanner) Hohman. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister, first wife, Margaret (Morrison) Hohman.
A 1940 graduate of J.P. McCaskey HS and Stevens Trade School. A draftsman, he retired from Armstrong World Industries in 1984.
Everett, was a WWII army veteran, member of Historic St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus #867.
A Christian Prayer Service will be held Wed. January 30, 2013 at 1:30PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 414 E. King St. Lancaster. Burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. I’ve known Mr. Hohman since I was a young boy. He lived next door to my late aunt and uncle, Vicki and Bob Underwood and was always so kind to us. We would see him at mass at St. Mary’s, at LCHS football games or down at Willow Valley and it was like seeing an extended part of our family with a warm, genuine smile on his never changing face. I will miss Mr. Hohman, but have fond memories of my encounters with him. May he be at peace. To his family, I extend my sincere sympathy. Lou Jackubowski
