Lawrence W. Holland, 76

Lawrence W. Holland, 76, of Lancaster passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at Hospice Essa Flory Center. Born in New York City he was the son of the late Lawrence and Emily (Uekert) Holland. Lawrence was the husband of Alice (Masse) with whom he celebrated 51 wonderful years with this past June.

Lawrence grew up in New York. After he finished school he served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Lawrence worked as a manager for the Long Island Railroad Company and retired after 20 years. He enjoyed reading and watching movies and especially ones about the Coast Guard. Lawrence loved his family and will be deeply missed by them.

Surviving in addition to his wife Alice is a son David L. Holland of Long Island, NY. A daughter Laura Lasdin wife of Brett of Manheim. 4 grandchildren; Shannon and Lawrence Holland and Joshua and Emily Lasdin.

Friends will be received Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz and again on Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 6-7 p.m. with a funeral service following at 7 p.m. Interment will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Friday, April 4, 2008 at 1030 a.m.

you may not remember us from your time at Faith E.C. Church but we are saddened by your loss. My young son Chad (now 20) enjoyed seeing Larry’s boat and ship models at your home near greenfield.

We pray that you will continue to find comfort in the Lord.
