Please accept my deepest sympathies at the loss of Phil.  He and I were friends since my new nursing graduate days at Pottsville Hospital and when I walked down the hall on my first day of work at LOH I was sure I was dreaming to see his big friendly smile and his wonderful warm hug.  Phil, as I am sure you know, was a dedicated man to his family, friends and especially his patients.  I am sure he will stay close in your hearts.  God comfort you in your sorrow.
Mary Best, RN

Judy:
I send you condolences from the Donell family.
That was my first introduction to Phil, I can remember one of my first days as a brand new graduate nurse at Community Hospital; I was assigned to a patient with tremendous breathing problems.  Beside myself the patient and I shared tremendous.  In walked this mountain of a man, very calm demeanor, dry sense of humor.  He took over the room, within minutes, the patient was feeling confident and I found a new friend.   There are so many memories– most surrounded with laughter, all surrounded by the confidence of friendship.
Hugs that would lift you off your feet, steadfast support during the death of my mom (his friend Katie Rutter); the chicken suit, his love for his corvette, picnics at Drew and Connie’s, his love for family, his faith in Jesus; these are my memories of Phil.
Despite all of his physical challenges in the past 20 years, his ability to share his love for family and his faith never changed. I am blessed to have known Phil and call him "friend".  Heaven has a new hero.
With deepest sympathy:
Joe, Cindy and Katie Donell
(formerly Cindy Rutter).  I am the sister of Connie Rutter Wiggins.

Dear Judy and family,
I wanted to pass along our sincerest condolences  on the loss  of your husband.  Although we have not kept in touch since you left the F&M Children’s Center, you and your family have a special place in our hearts for all the wonderful memories you made possible for our Ryan.  We are thinking of you in this time of grief  and want you to know that we are keeping you in our prayers.
With much love,

I have so many good memories.  He was so encouraging to me as I was a member of the e-board from LCCC.  I could share my faith with him and he respected me for it.  He will be missed.
