Mary J. Rutter Holub, 85

Mary J. Rutter Holub, 85, passed away on Sunday at Hamilton Arms in Lancaster, where she had been residing.

Mary was the wife of John Holub, with whom she would have celebrated 62 years of marriage this coming June. Born in Abbottstown, Adams County, she was the daughter of the late John H Sr., and Eva A. Zartman Rutter.

Mary had worked at the RCA Corp. as a key punch operator for 6 years until the 1950s. She had also previously worked at Armstrong World Industries.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband, particularly in the western United States.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her two brothers, both of Lancaster: Robert C.  married to Vivian Rutter and William R. Rutter; and by her two sisters-in-law, both of California: Alice Vanderberg and Mildred Martinez. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Rutter Jr and a asister, Anna Carrigan.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 7-9PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, with the funeral service to follow on Wednesday morning at the funeral home at 10AM, the Rev Augustus Mauro officiating. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park.
