Magdalene Amelia Reed Hoover

Maggie, as she was affectionately known lived in Southern Lancaster County outside of Georgetown, Pennsylvania most of her married life. Daughter of the late Charles and Edna Reed, Maggie was married to the late William (Bill) James Hoover for 62 years. Maggie loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She especially liked traveling, helping others and watching sports, especially football, live and on T.V.
Maggie and Bill enjoyed traveling, especially with the Moon Light Cruisers car club to various events both local and out of state. Her hobbies were reading, collecting Teddy Bears, and Needle work.
Maggie is survived by a son; William James Hoover II married to Ann, of Lititz. Daughters: Kathleen Hoover Denlinger married to Mark of Lancaster, and Sharon Hoover Lilley of Mountville. Also surviving are Grandchildren; Matthew James Hoover husband of Jennifer Meyer Hoover, Troy William Hoover and Christopher Mark Lilley husband of Jennifer Fish Lilley, and Great Granddaughters Kaylee and Kelsey Hoover daughters of Matthew and Jennifer Hoover. Also surviving is a brother, Kenneth Reed. Predeceased were Sister Beatrice Strauss and Brother Eugene Reed.
Maggie’s Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caregivers of Country Meadows of Lancaster, and the Masonic Villages of Elizabethtown who worked so hard to keep Mom safe and comfortable in her last years.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and Friends will be received from 9-10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Georgetown United Methodist Cemetery.
