Mary Jane James, 79

March 12, 1938 - August 12, 2017

Mary Jane James, 79, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Mennonite Home in Lancaster, PA. She was born in McDonald, PA and was the daughter of the late Leon and Elizabeth (McVicker) Randour.
Mary Jane graduated from Robert Morris School of Business in Pittsburgh. She was employed at PPG Industries as an Executive Secretary for many years. She also worked at the former Universal Cyclops Steel Corp and Jones and Laughlin Steel Company.
Mary Jane was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by a son; Michael K. McCarty and his wife, Victoria, of Lancaster; a grandson, Zachary T. McCarty, of Lancaster, granddaughter, Caroline R. Hess, wife of Benjamin, of New Providence and a great-grandson, Chase Evan Hess. She is also survived by a lifetime friend Becky Snyder.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Bert N. James in 2000 and two sisters, Marjorie Frazee and Dorothy Phillips.
A private burial will take place in Robinson’s Run Cemetery, McDonald, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mary Jane may be made to Hospice & Community Care PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother Mary Jane. I am her late husband Bert’s granddaughter Jesi ( daughter of Teri Waldron). I have many found childhood memories of her and my pap.
