Lois S. Judd, 90

Lois S. Judd, 90, of Lancaster passed away at the Glen of Willow Valley on Monday, January 17, 2011.Born in Hepburn Township PA, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Ruth Shafer Seitzer. She was married to the late Russell R. Judd who died in 2005.

Lois was an Elementary School Teacher at Hawes Elementary School, Ridgewood, NJ, Clara E. Coleman Elementary School, Glen Rock, NJ, and Columbus Elementary School in Mount Holly, N.J.

Lois was a member of Ridgewood United Methodist Church in Ridgewood NJ where she taught Sunday school for 17 years. She was a member of West Willow United Methodist Church during her time in Lancaster.

She was active many years in the United Methodist Women and was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society for excellence in teaching.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann J. wife of Donald Stewart Ahnemann, Allendale, N.J., two sons: Norman R. husband of Laurie G. Judd, Coto De Caza, CA, Alan C. husband of Delores F. Judd, Durham, NC and four grandchildren: Michael Ahnemann, Heather Judd, Clayton Judd, and Brian Judd. There is one great granddaughter: Chloe Ahnemann

Funeral Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, Pa on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 2:00PM. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-2:00PM. Interment will be at the Blooming Grove Cemetery, Balls Mills Village, PA on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lois’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, South Central PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave. suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
