Eileen D. Kirk, 86
Eileen Delia Buckley Kirk, 86, of Lancaster, passed away January 18, 2012 at Audubon Villa, Lititz, PA. Eileen was born in Chadds Ford, PA, February 12, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Minnie Buckley. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Kirk.
Eileen was a feisty, Irish lass with a quick wit and a generous heart. In recent years she enjoyed bird watching, keeping up with current events and watching any and all sporting events on TV. She especially loved watching the Olympic Games and supporting the US Olympic teams.
For most of her life, Eileen was a homemaker, but she also enjoyed working in the Warwick School District as an aide and monitor of the middle school suspension program.
She is survived by daughters: Kathleen E. Buckley, partner of Pat Baldridge, Windsor, CO; Diane M. Gibason, Denver, CO; Deborah A. Gibason, wife of Erle Kenyon, Greeley, CO; Patricia D. Gibason, Lancaster, PA; Anna L. Casetta, wife of Tom Casetta, Phila, PA; and one grandson, Tyler Buckley Baldridge.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Such fond memories of your Mom came surging forth as I read of her passing this morning. I was privileged to know your Mom (and Dad) during my years as manager of Olde Hickory Golf Club in Lancaster, where they both spent many happy days! Their enthusiasm for the game of golf and their family and travel etc. was most contagious and I almost feel I watched all of you grow up! My deepest sympathy to you all on the loss of your Mother.

Please know I am sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Eileen worked with me at Warwick Middle School as an aide in the learning support classroom. She was loved by all the students and faculty. My husband and I used to go out with your mother and father on Friday nights after a long week at work. I also played golf with your dad many years ago at Olde Hickory. Eileen will be sincerely missed. She was a wonderful, caring and loving person. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
