Sad to hear of Norman’s passing. I spent many happy times with aunt Dora, uncle John and Norman & Phillip when I was much younger. Norman was a good son and he was in contact with my mom untIl she passed away and always was respectful and caring to my parents. A good and honorable man who led an exemplary life. May he rest in peace.

I just learned about Norm’s passing. I’m so sorry! Prayers of peace & comfort to you all!
I surely felt blessed to have met Norm! Granted our relationship was very short, only approx.  6 mos., but he surely left an imprint with me. Such a giving/positive/fighter spirit!

To the Koltunovich Family, I had the good pleasure of working with Norm at AT&T Submarine Systems and I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  Someone once shared a Scripture verse with me when my father passed away which was very comforting to me.  The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:38, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.  Neither death nor life, neiher angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”  Our hope as a Christian is that we will see our loved ones again because Christ has conquered death.  May God comfort you during this difficult time.  Rob LaGuarina

Dear Koltunovich Family,
We knew Norm at the Ronald McDonald House for many years.  We always enjoyed seeing him and working with him.  He was always smiling, friendly and joyful.  Are grandson, Michael, came with us many times and he always looked forward to seeing Norm.  He always looked forward to be working with Norm and laughing with him and hugging him.  Norm was always a Blessing to the Ronald McDonald House.   Everyone who was there when Norm was there, enjoyed his presence very much.  We are sorry for your loss and he will be missed very much by everyone who knew him.  We pray for you and your family at this time and offer our condolences.
Sincerely,  Donna & Peter Stanilla, Jr

Diane, Mike and Tom
There are too many memories and feelings to write here. I could go on for days how Norman affected my life. From driving in between Norman and Diane in the Oldsmobile, Norman and Eddie showing up at our house the night of 1965 blackout to check on us because Dad was at his Naval Reserve Tuesday night meeting in Jersey, Norman showing up at our front door unannounced when he got home from Vietnam, the weekends I would spend at your apartment in Richmond Hill when he would take me out on Saturday mornings on Liberty Avenue to make his usual stops to get the Daily News and whatever else was needed, watching him and his buddies playing softball and to my first trip to the Bronx Zoo. That’s only from age 5 to 10. Like I said I could go on for days. Norman was my Uncle but more importantly he was my friend. I will miss him but I have a lifetime of memories to keep him close. I love all of you, Jim

Dear Koltunovich Family,
I only meet Norm a couple of times, at one of my son’s football games and his Eagle Scout Court of Honor, but my son Michael Stanilla Jr (MJ) spent many weeks with Norm volunteering together at the Ronald McDonald House.  Michael would tell about how he and Norm would laugh together in the basement of the Ronnie House while sorting donations.  My family and I send our sincere condolences and prayers at this difficult time.

Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood has become so popular recently. Norm always demonstrated neighborly love.  I always thought you two were so cute together and clearly, he adored you, Diane. We will miss his warm smile and kind heart as I know you will. We are here for you.

Diane, Mike & Tommy…please accept our heartfelt condolences for your loss. We have wonderful memories of our years together as neighbors.  Norm was always there for us with a helping hand & much knowledge of what needed to be done (and the tools)…he belonged on “This Old House.”  For sure he’ll be missed by many.

Diane and family,
Sorry to hear of Norm’s passing.  I remember all the good times we had in Pinehurst: dinners, some golf, local trips, sharing grand kid stories and pictures, poker games and some I am forgetting.  Please take care.
