I was so very sad to see Jeanne has passed away.  I worked with her at Van Scoy years ago and even after I left that job I would stop by to see her and Jack at their home in Mountville. I saw her after she married her second husband and she told me how she met him and we laughed and she seemed very happy. There was a big age difference between the two of us but that didn’t matter, we always had some great talks & laughs together.  I moved away to FL for a number of years but moved back to Lancaster and went by her home as I wasn’t sure if she still lived there but it seemed someone new lived there.  I was actually just thinking of her last week and wondered if I could locate her as I truly enjoyed talking and laughing with her. I regret I hadn’t tried to find her sooner. She was such a classy woman and so down to earth and funny.  I am sorry I didn’t get to see her again.  I will keep all of her family in my prayers and to all of you, cherish all of your memories of your wonderful mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  I know I will. Sincerest sympathy…..Susan McMechen

We feel so lucky to have known Jeanne.  She was never without a smile and we loved spending time with her especially during Christmas.  We always marveled at her strength and independence.  She will forever be in our hearts.
With Love, Rachael Barnhart & Justin Covington

Jeanne Kraft was one of the kindest people I have ever known! Our family’s visits to the cottage are forever etched in my mind. There is a very special place in Heaven for this lady and I am honored to have her as my guardian angel! . . . Julie Wallick

I’ve only known Jeanne for a couple of years through mutual friends, but found her to be warm and welcoming.  And a stunning woman.  My sympathies to her family.

I have very fond remembrances of Jeanne– “Mom” from summers at Piney Cove.  Memories that pop into mind are crabbing and first crab feast; hair blowing through her hair while driving a white and red boat pulling the kids on skis; a blue and brown bathing suit; tall gin and tonics; camp fires; hot dogs; coloring my mom’s hair for the first time; diamond necklaces; a cabin on the lane; Jeanne clipping Mitzi on the porch; pots of soup or chili simmering on the stove; and many more that will continue to vist me from time to time.  She was a beautiful woman throughout her lifetime.  I feel lucky to have known her.
Much love to Chris and Scott, Wesley and Eric, and all of the family.
