My son was a friend of Colin’s and he is struggling (as we all are) with this terrible tragedy. Our hearts go out to your entire family as well as prayers for strength and comfort. Sometimes there simply aren’t enough words to express all we wish…just know that you are not alone. You are in our thoughts every day….and I am sure in the thoughts of everyone in our community. May God bless you, give you the strength you need and comfort you desire to help you get throughout this terrible time.

My deepest sympathy to you and the rest of your family. I was so sad to hear about your son. Surround yourself with family and friends ,these will be difficult times but keep your faith and know that others are thinking of you, your co-workers are there for you .   This was sent to me when my dad passed,  "May you find peace in knowing that God understands your heartache and He cares."

Colin came to Lancaster County Academy only a few weeks ago where I was one of his teachers. I was struck by his humor and intelligence, and was looking forward to getting to know him better. This accident was a profound tragedy. I am so sorry for your loss. Holding you in the light, Nanette Blank

Christmas In Heaven

I see the countless CHRISTMAS TREES around the world below
with tiny lights like HEAVEN’S STARS reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so SPECTACULAR please wipe away that tear
for I am spending CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS CHRIST this year.

I hear the many CHRISTMAS SONGS that people hold so dear
but the SOUND OF MUSIC can’t compare with the CHRISTMAS CHOIR up here.

I have no words to tell you of the JOY their voices bring
for it is beyond description to HEAR THE ANGELS SING.

I know HOW MUCH YOU MISS ME, I see the pain inside your heart
for I am spending CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS CHRIST this year.

I can’t tell you of the SPLENDOR or the PEACE here in this place
Can you just imagine CHRISTMAS WITH OUR SAVIOR face to face

I’ll ask him to LIFT YOUR SPIRIT as I tell him of your love
so then PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER as you lift your eyes above.

Please let your HEARTS BE JOYFUL and let your SPIRIT SING
for I am spending CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN and I’m walking WITH THE KING.

To all who cared about Colin

Thank you all for writing and all who came to Colin’s funeral.  Lindey and I will miss him with all our hearts.
