Michael W. Kuntz, 51

Michael W. Kuntz, also known as Michael W. Koontz, 51, of West Palm Beach, Fla. formerly of Lancaster died October 9, 2006 at his home in Florida.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Lucy Rizzo Kuntz of Lancaster and the late Jere E. Kuntz. Mr. Kuntz was a registered nurse at Kennedy Hospital in Florida, where he was studying to be a Physician Assistant. Previously he was vice president of EFI in Lancaster and in Florida he had an extensive banking career. He was in Who’s who in international banking. He attended Sacred Heart School, where he played the piano, trumpet and was an altar server.

Michael was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and Juniata College. He held a degree in Business. He was a ski instructor for the Lancaster Ski club, a  member of Gator Snow Ski Club in Florida. He enjoyed scuba diving and was a master instructor. His hobbies included traveling, photography and gourmet cooking.

Surviving besides his mother are two daughters: Hillary Lauren and Allison Michelle of Lititz, two brothers: David E. Kuntz of Arizona, and Thomas J. Kuntz of California.

 A Memorial Service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut Street, Lancaster, Pa on Friday at 11:00AM.  Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the church on Friday from 10:30 to 11:00AM.
