Condolences to the Family

May 10, 2020

Dear Nancy, Deborah, and Tom,  Please accept my sympathy on the passing of your mother,  may you all have the wonderful peace that comes from our Lord Savior Jesus Christ resting upon you.  Randy Zimmerman

What a great family.  Lil and Jack at the helm, with John and Susan, followed by John and Rebecca.  Lil and Jack were so proud.  I’m a proud god daughter who was graced with such a loving family across the street who were my best friends.  I have so many fun and crazy, loving moments to cherish with Nana, Lil, and Jack as well as all the extended family of cousins, etc.  I had the fortunate opportunity to reunite with John and Susan a couple of years ago in Lancaster…some things never change.  We talked about all the trouble we got into as kids and all the fun we had.  My husband Bruce who never met John or Susan before could see the love and connection that only comes from being best friends as kids and growing up together to the point of marriage.  It’s a memory I cherish every day…as well as all the memories or Lil and Jack, my parents Kay and Art and all their friends, sitting on back porch on Salisbury Court.  Lil and Jack did a great job raising their family and being such great god parents to me.  With much love to all the Kurtz family – I wish we had known in time to come be with you.
M.C. (Doherty) and Bruce Casterline.  Atlanta, GA send all our love.  XOXO

Lil was a very nice lady. My mother lived at Evergreen Estates from 2006 until she passed this past March. She was a great friend to my mother, Naomi Henry. She was very sick most of this year, and Lil would come in and hold her hand and just be there with her. My mom liked her very much. When I would bring in her great granddaughter, Lil was right there with her. She was so sweet and I really appreciated all she did for my mom.
