Robert W. Lukowski, 78

November 16, 1941 - May 01, 2020

Robert W. Lukowski, 78, of Manheim Twp., passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of Friday, May 1, 2020. Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Marion F. and Elva (Mahowski) Lukowski. Robert was the devoted husband of Carole L. (Slutter) Lukowski, and they would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on May 23rd.

Robert attended the University of Delaware from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He worked as Chemist for Armstrong World Industries. He loved chemistry and never stopped thinking of new formulas. In his free time, he enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles, reading, going crabbing in the bay and playing golf. An avid Philadelphia Eagles Football fan, he was thrilled when his team won the national championship in 2018. He cared for many dogs in his lifetime: Max, Casey, Dewey, Flipper, Mia, Titan, Koda and Fin were all very special and he loved taking them for walks and feeding them bologna. He especially loved his family, and shared all of his wisdom with them.

In addition to being a devoted husband, Robert was a loving and encouraging father and a fun loving Pop-Pop. He is survived by his son, Robert W. Lukowski, Jr. and his wife Wendy Lynn, and his daughter, Dana E. Costello and her husband Joe. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Julia, Owen, Kyle, Emma and Sarah Lukowski and Evan and Corinne Costello; and his brother, Edward F. Lukowski and his wife Mary Jane.

Due to current health concerns and restrictions, a Celebration of Life service will be planned and announced for a future date.

Condolences to the Family

Dear Carole,
I wanted to share how sorry I was to see that your husband passed away.  I often wondered how he was doing after running into at TJ Maxx, particularly given the COVID19 situation.
I hope you and your loved ones are doing ok.
Just thinking of you and sending Condolences.
